There's a wolf in Ponyville. Let's be clear, this is not a metaphorical statement or a metaphorical wolf - there is a literal wolf sleeping in the middle of the market square. Its hind legs kick out every so often, and it makes little yipping noises; it's probably having some kind of...hunting dream?

And then the yip turns into a deep basso profundo growl as jagged black spikes suddenly grow out of the wolf's back. As the growl dies down, the spikes...'retract' isn't quite the right word for it; it's more like they're 'reabsorbed'.

Hopefully someone is brave enough to wake a sleeping wolf?
