The Disappearance of the Strange Machine
Who: SciTwi and anyone who decided to come with her.
What: It's time to see about finding clues about this mysterious machine that brought everyone here.
When: December 8th
Where: Canterlot University's Science Lab
Rating: You know you.
The hour-long train ride to Canterlot filled Twilight with suspense. There was no telling what they'd find in that Lab - according to the information she'd gathered, they hadn't touched it since the machine disappeared.
Which was perfect, of course. That meant it was still the way it was almost a month ago. If they were to find any clues, they wouldn't technically be fresh, but they'd be clues nonetheless.
"Alright... let's go." She led the way into the University, making her way towards the Lab based on the directions she was given.

Entering the Lab
"Be careful, everypony. There's glass on the floor." An obvious statement, perhaps, but it paid to be careful when there were hazards on the floor. At least no liquids were present that she could see.
However, one thing caught her eye immediately - small slabs of metal that were obviously broken off of something, littering one corner of the room.
Re: Entering the Lab
Stepping around the glass, she peered around the lab for a moment before going towards the metal. "Looks interesting," said Mei with a thoughtful hum. "Snowy, help me turn it over."
A small robot popped out of the backpack she wore and together they started leaning one of the slabs up. "Any markings on it?" she asked.

"Huh. Cogs..." Well, that didn't seem terribly interesting... but maybe it was best to keep it in mind, for now.
As more of the slabs came into view, another marking was becoming clear. But it was only partially there. Looking around the room, Twilight nodded. "Let's try to get all these metal pieces put together. Maybe we can figure out what this is."

"This might be interesting to see though."

"Do you guys need help or...?"
Hesitant but still very unsure of everything going on.

"Hello! I am Baymax. I appear to be lost in this city, and I have found my way here. Is anyone in need of medical attention? There seems to be explosive residue in the building. Warning, there is glass."
And he'll waddle around the glass carefully, not to spring a leak. "Allow me to assist you in your endeavors."

Sunset shifted her focus then to the pieces, using her magic to levitate one. She shifted it this way and that with the others' movements, looking for an approximate fit.

"Mei's right - why wouldn't these be more broken? You'd think if there were some sort of explosion, there'd be more rubble... Or even something that would've sent the pieces flying." Maybe it was luck? But as she and the others began to get some of the pieces together, it became clear that the markings were in fact writing.
But it wasn't enough. They needed more. "This is a whole side? The machine must've been huge!"
