Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.

It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

"How interesting." She chuckled a bit. "I'm afraid I don't know what caused the event that brought you all here, though I have an idea of what it might be. It is nothing more than a guess, and nothing that any of you need to worry about just yet."

Despite those words, she smiled. "For now, try to get used to your new form. It seems as though many of you come from different kinds of worlds, judging from the difficulties in walking like we do. You'll all be informed if we find anything out. We and the ponies of Ponyville will do our best to help you in the meantime."

"Once a day, you say?" Those words felt skeptical to hear, but she pressed on. "Then I'm afraid we would need to find you a place to do that once a day, and not near other ponies or animals. I would rather not have anypony suffer through any explosion magic."

"Half a year!?" Good grief, what the hell were times anyway--

"So you don't know if that plan went off smoothly or not? The being called back to battle Calice, I mean."

[twotailedgenius]

"That's... kinda weird. But I guess zombies are zombies in any world."

"So you're further ahead than my double. Did you battle Calice?"

[explosions_are_awesome]

"I prefer castles," said Megumin. "I can't get enough of dropping Explosion on a castle. You wouldn't happen to have one of those laying around would you?"

[ponymechanic]

"No I don't. Judging by the way everyone is looking at us, we're likely not in the other Equestria we were in."

Which raises more questions than answers.

[madtwience]

"Yeah... I kinda had hoped that if this came up, I'd get a horn so I could do magic." A beat. "...But it's okay! I can still study magic, even if I can't cast it. And maybe flying will end up being more useful to me for getting around quicker."

Unless Unicorns had teleportation magic... but well, beggars can't be choosers, and she couldn't deny that the prospect of flying was pretty awesome... and terrifying to consider.

"When... did you hear that?" Twilight, you should know not to question Pinkie--

"I mean, we're all ponies, so I guess we're in... Equestria...?" The locales felt very familiar to her, considering the most recent incident in her mind...

[madtwience]

What might not surprise Skyfire is the look of terror the pony was giving him right now. But after a few seconds, she shook her head, getting over some of her fright.

"I-I'm alright. I wasn't looking where I was going." She had a very large, very nervous smile on. "S-Sorry about that. But... you're really a big dragon? I'm not hallucinating?"

"Duh, we have our geodes with us!" Exclaimed Pinkie, showing off the geode around her neck. "We all can do things here too!"

"Yeah, it's pretty cool here. I mean, I'm not getting a wifi signal though but that'll be fine." Added Pinkie.

[appletastic]

That prompted her ears to droop a little. "To be honest...not too much. Of course it's sad, we've missed you, but...it feels like there's a lot nopony's willing to tell us."

She heaved a sigh. "I know that's probably not what you want to hear."

[shyformerassistant]

Is he missing some memories? She's sure he must have faced some of those things.

"Oh he's here?" Well that's good. "No. Something happened and a bunch of ponies were turned into yogert zombies. I tried to contact you through the scrolls to tell you that your younger self got turned into one. I spotted him outside trying to look for some yogert."

[appletastic]

"Well howdy Tails," Applejack greeted with a smile, tipping her hat to him. "Fancy meeting you here! So...not too different from before, I reckon?"

[appletastic]

Did she...what did she...

Applejack stared for a long moment, then laughed it off. Sometimes that was all one could do with Pinkie Pie.

"Sure thing! What's in them, anyhow?"

[usedpartycannon]

Yeah, best not to think about it as Pinkie nodded rapidly. "They're apple cinnamon! I knew you'd want a muffin if it was one of those!"

Mmm they look good though.

[burningbrighter]

"And that's always the hard part," Sunset added, following the princess's gaze back to her friends.

"All right. I don't think I'll find anything, but I'll send a message if I do."

[burningbrighter]

Sunset threw a comforting hoof over her shoulder. "Don't worry, you've got this! With all of us together, there's nothing we can't accomplish."

She smiled. "And if you have questions about magic, I think I still remember a few things."

[canreallyfly]

All these ponies really were causing Fluttershy a bit of anxiety. All these unfamiliar, new faces...

But one face in particular caused her to forget all of that, enough to fly over to her. Maybe she knew what was going on?

"Oh, Applejack! I'm so glad to see you, do you know what's going on? Why are all these new ponies here...?" Not even realizing that this is a different Applejack entirely.

[canreallyfly]

Her words came flying out of her mouth faster than she could think, and faster than she could see what it was she'd bumped into.

Once it dawned on her, she backed away, hunkering down a little in fear. She was not expecting to bump into such a huge dragon, especially one she hadn't even noticed among all the ponies that were more her size.

Suddenly, being in a large, confusing crowd of unfamiliar ponies seemed like a better fate than this.

She didn't answer his question. She only whimpered in fear, face tucked between her front hooves.

[canreallyfly]

"A-Ah! P-Pinkie Pie... do you know what's going on, then...?" Because she was in the dark. Please help her.

[appletastic]

"Wish I could tell you, Fluttershy, but your guess is as good as mine. Probably better, actually, seeing as I just popped here with everypony else," she apologized. "But I'll let you know if I find something out, and..."

She approached with her usual smile. "No matter what, I'm sure glad to see you."

[appletastic]

"All right then, give it here." Applejack could smell it already. Crisp and sweet, just the way she liked it.

"And, uh...I'm sorta living in a side barn 'til I find my own place, but anything I harvest I can use to make us some snacks. Just let me know what you like."

She's not running away screaming, fainting or attacking him, so it's all good as far as he's concerned.

"It's alright, really. As long as you're okay." He gives her a sheepish smile, trying to look as nonthreatening as possible. "Ah, yes I am..." Or at least he was here and had been called one back in his own world for a long time, so might as well just go with it. "As long as I'm not orange, with green stripes and yellow polka-dots, I think you're fine?" It's a terrible joke, but hey, he's trying to diffuse some of that fear of him.

Now, Haurchefant hadn't realised this other... this pegasus knew him before. Else he might have reacted much differently, given softness before revealing who he was. To let them try and handle it.

But now he was being hugged and this lady was crying and holding him and--

Could they be a Warrior from another Shard?

--Haurchefant tried his best to keep his own voice soft, his tone so very kind. Just as it had been. "...It's me, dear friend.

It's me..."

She definitely recognized him much faster than he would've recognized her - it's almost like he was unchanged from his Pokemon form!

And like a flash of pink, she came at him with a flying tackle. "Jeeeeeeeeeeean~!"
