Newcomers and veterans alike, welcome to the world of ponies!
Who: YOU. And you. And you. And everyone!
What: What just happened!? You've been transported into the world of ponies, that's what.
When: November 10th
Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.
Rating: You know you.
(Pssst. Check out the story so far to get an idea for what's happened prior to this point!)
It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?
Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.
The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?
The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

slight cw: death
[How weird, was it was, to be alive?
The last thing Pear remembered was... well, she'd rather not dwell on that. Instead, she's sitting in shock in the middle of the town, barely vaguely noting the presence of Princess Celestia and how she wasn't...
In any case, she was about to get up towards the Cakes. They had an answer, on how long of a period of time she's missed.]
I must have missed a lot of birthdays...
Later
[Later on, Pear is ambling towards Sweet Apple Acres, scared to death. Just how much time has passed? Ten. Years. TEN YEARS.
Ten years without holding her daughter in her arms, to smell the husky scent of Bright Mac comforting her, to hear the cry of Applebloom and her son doting on her.
Passing by Berry Punch's place, she almost debated on going in just for a moment.]
Maybe later...
Gonna go with 'later'... Also pardon the format switch, you don't have to match it. <3
Still, he can't help but notice the upset look on the mare's face when she looked like she was debating going into what Skyfire could only assume was a tavern or bar of some sort. He knows that expression, the face it's on might not be one he knows, but it was far from the first time he's seen it.
"Hey, are you alright?" He might be partly across the street, but at his size, that's not all that far away either.
all good I like prose
"I'll... be fine," she lied a little, trying to preserve what little sanity she had left. Ten years, and not a single thing seemed familiar. Like she was not only out of time, but out of the world entirely.
Ten. Years.
"Sorry, I'm just having some trouble adjusting."

While his ears aren't big in comparison to his head, but compared to a pony's they were quite large... and he thought she could use a smile so he wiggles said ears. "...Mine are pretty large after all..." It's a bad joke, but he tried.

"I... don't know how to feel. Time's passed me by. In a blink of an eye, it's been over ten years since I... last saw my family." She looked up into Celestia's sun for a moment, squinting as she held up a hoof as if grasping the sun.
"You can't stop time. No one can. But it feels like time passed me by, and I don't know how to feel about seeing my family again."
no subject
He speaks as though he knows that from experience... and he does, more than many will ever know. Being long lived as he was, he'd love a second chance to see some of his friends again...

Pear took a deep, shuddering breath as she set her jaw. "But... I'm an Apple. I can't back away from this. Not any of it, not at all."
no subject
Seeing her perk up a bit makes him glad. "My name's Skyfire... If you want someone to talk to any time, feel free to come find me?" Not that he even knows where he's staying yet, but hey, more friends are always good.
no subject
"And thank you for talking to me."

She pitched in, of course, and was currently carting the family's wares into town. She parked at the booth, parted with the tip of a hat, and turned to face somepony she'd only seen in pictures. That cutie mark...was that...
"Ma?"
She shook her head sharply. No. It couldn't be.
no subject
There she was, the face, the freckles, the blonde hair, oh my stars her cutie mark was even apples. "I'm sorry," whispered Pear, lowering her head. "I'm sorry, I'M SORRY FOR LEAVING YOU APPLEJACK!"
Yeah that's a fully grown mare crying as she dashed over to Applejack to give her a hug.
no subject
She tucked her head over her mother's shoulder, tears filling her eyes.
"It wasn't your fault, Mama. We're okay...but Stars, we missed you something fierce."
no subject
"You're so big...! When I last held you, you were just a tiny filly. You hadn't even gotten your cutie mark yet, and your brother... is he here? And little Applebloom?"
Pear's eyes were full of tears as she rubbed them. "I'm sorry but you look just like your father and I... It's hard to take in that tiny filly I held is now a full grown mare."
no subject
"This ain't the Equestria I come from. There's a whole bushelful of Equestrias that are all mostly alike, but just a bit different. And this is the third one I've been to. So there's the Applejack who's supposed to be here...and then there's me. But there's only one of each of 'em so far as I know."
Maybe they weren't from the same Equestria, but...she was still her mother. She sniffled a little. "But no matter what...I'm here now."
no subject
She hugged Applejack. "I won't leave for as long as you need me."
no subject
"We're Apples, Ma. We stick together like pigs and mud. I mean...we all still live on the farm with Granny Smith! Ponyville might be a bit different than you remember, but I'll tell you anything you want to know. Uh, assuming I know it."
no subject
And Applejack, oh my stars was she so big and healthy. It made her smile as Pear asked, "Does Granny tell you about me and your pa when you ask?"
Because she wasn't even certain if Applejack knew about her half heritage either. She certainly never got a chance to talk about it.

Later, because I needed this apparently
Sorry!
[But my, what a strange voice that is.]
yessss
[Pear was starting to get used to ponies running into her, but also starting to get used to newcomers as well as she managed a smile.]
Are you new here like I am?
no subject
Yeah. Still trying to get used to walking on all fours again.
no subject
[Pear wasn't assuming he wasn't a four-legged pony but she was surprised.]
Did you need help?
no subject
Yeah. This isn't the first time I've been forced to transform. Not for really long, but still.
I just need to get used to it again.
no subject
I'm not too sure on this source though.
no subject
Great.
[Couldn't he have at least been something with hands?]
no subject
[She smiled sheepishly.] Sorry I can't be of help on that angle.
