It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

...normally, she’d be up front with Serena on how Apple is her girlfriend, but...well, Serena’s twelve. It’s probably not necessary.

“Of course! I’m sure you’ll get along famously!”

Considering everything, probably a good idea. It would make Serena's head spin since she was very hot for Ash right now.

"Oh I can't wait! You must be so excited to be friends with a princess!"

"I see," Jean replied. "I suppose I'm used to smartphones not being actual mirrors," he chuckled. "I'll have to experiment with it. Thank you!"

[onaroll]

“Well, I am the Grand Duchess of the Battle Chateau...”

"Battle Chateau? I remember that. We didn't really stay long there though," admitted Serena. "We were on the go. What's it like being the Grand Duchess?"

[cidery]

"In my hometown, this is normal for us," said Apple. "So that's why I'm able to figure it out so quickly. And you're very welcome!"

[onaroll]

“Exhausting. They’re all insane.”

There’s a weary look on her face.

"That... sounds about right. They seemed very, very passionate about battling. Kind of like Ash's people. But worse." admitted Serena.

Blinking, she leaned in a bit closer to look at Amelie's eyes.

"Oh wow...they really are hearts."

She didn't even know eyes could really do that.

"They're really pretty though."

As he was set down, he was a bit unsteady on his hooves, though at least he managed to stay standing. Trying to coordinate a step with a front leg, then a back leg, was trickier than it seemed though.

"And people think webbed feet are hard to walk with."

He couldn't help a small snicker. "Explosion Magic, huh? That sounds pretty exciting."

[shiningkindness]

"Explosion?" She glanced up at Pinkie. "That's...kind of how I ended up here too. But what explosion?"

[shiningkindness]

"O-Oh...um..." She glanced around, frowning a bit. He was right, it wouldn't do to block the road like that. "W-We can...walk somewhere..."

Though she hesitated a moment, slowly rising to stand on shaky legs.

[takeittothebridge]

He stumbled slightly, though managed to catch himself, his wings automatically spreading out for balance. Glancing at the unicorn, he grinned a bit, waving one taloned hand dismissively.

"Hey, no worries. I'm still getting the hang of four legs myself."

[shiningkindness]

"Where...? Oh...that's probably a good idea."

Fluttershy hadn't even thought about that, having been preoccupied with trying not to freak out about all this.

"Is there a place we'd be able to stay for a while?"

[shiningkindness]

Her wings fluffed out in surprise, but as she turned around she sucked in a breath. "O-Oh...! Twilight!"

[Nearby, Donald is still trying to get used to walking on four legs. As he stumbles, he accidentally bumps into her.]

Sorry!

[But my, what a strange voice that is.]

Skyfire looked around as well and noted an empty lot next to one of the shops. "Does over there work for you? I can sit there and not be in the way..." He wants to keep her as comfortable as possible and hopes staying out in the open, as well as in public, will make her feel more secure.

He's a little concerned by her wobbliness, but he realized that she was having the same issue he was. Likely something similar to body dysmorphia. "Do you want to lean on me?" While he wouldn't trust himself with something like picking someone up yet, letting her use him as a stabilizer should be fine.

“It’s kind of sad that one of the easiest to deal with is the cultist.”

[onaroll]

Welp. That’s the lethal one-two combo of invading her personal space without asking and compliments. Amelie’s turning red under her fur now.

“A-ah! M-merci beacoup!”

Ah, it's all right sir. I wasn't looking where I was going either.

[Pear was starting to get used to ponies running into her, but also starting to get used to newcomers as well as she managed a smile.]

"I'm sorry a what now?!"

"They were saying a huuuuge weird machine exploded in the middle of town!" Exclaimed Pinkie, making a bwoosh noise and expanding motion with her front hooves. "And that's where all of us came in!"

[explosions_are_awesome]

"There's nothing else like it in this world, the hum of the shockwave, the shivering as the heat and wind caress your skin...~!"

Yeah this girl is hopeless.

[onaroll]

“Marchioness Fiona worships muscles.”

Pause.

“I am being serious.”
