Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.

It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

"Like I said, the ability to assume a human form is out of the question. It's probably one of the Rules of this world I'm guessing." said Apple.

"Sorry if I'm not much help, I just arrived recently too."

"It's all right, it's not your fault," Jean replied. "It's very confusing for all of us, I can see... But you've been a big help so far, and I appreciate it! My name is Jean. What's yours?"

[cidery]

"Yes, that's true. I'll give you that."

Apple smiled as she said, "Apple. Apple White. Nice to meet you Jean."

[touspourun]

"It's nice to meet you as well, Miss White!" he declared with a smile. "Thank you for your hospitality!"

[cidery]

"Oh please, I love helping so the pleasure is mine." said Apple honestly, with a giggle.

"I'm just helping everypony I can."

[touspourun]

"Then I hope you keep up the good work!"

[cidery]

"Thank you, I'll do my best! If you need help, please don't hesitate to Mirrorphone me." Replied Apple.

[touspourun]

"Mirror... phone?" he asked, confused by the new concept.

[cidery]

"These things," said Apple, holding up the new mirror communicator. "You can use it like a phone."

[touspourun]

Jean eyed it for a moment, curiously. "It's not like any smartphone I've ever seen... How does it work?"

[cidery]

"It's a touch system," said Apple, holding it up and tapping the side of it. "It's pretty good. Similar to my own."

[touspourun]

"I see," Jean replied. "I suppose I'm used to smartphones not being actual mirrors," he chuckled. "I'll have to experiment with it. Thank you!"

[cidery]

"In my hometown, this is normal for us," said Apple. "So that's why I'm able to figure it out so quickly. And you're very welcome!"

[touspourun]

"I'm afraid it's not in my hometown," Jean said. "But I'll try to adjust. Although I hope I can get back soon... I have exams coming up..."

[cidery]

"I have exams too, but it's been a long time since I've had to worry about them." said Apple, shaking her head. "Circumstances pulled me out of school to another world."

[touspourun]

"To this one, or another?" Jean asked. "I suppose you could say this is my first time travelling to another world..."

[cidery]

"To another. I became a being called a Gem. This body of mine is a projection. This is my real self."

And she tugged her top down a little to show the apple-shaped gemstone in her neck.

[touspourun]

"Your life is pretty... complicated, isn't it?" he asked, seeming to be a bit overwhelmed by all of this fantasy knowledge.

[cidery]

"It was complicated before I arrived in this world, or the first," said Apple with a little smile.

"I've learned to deal with it."

[touspourun]

"Well if it's any consolation, I hope things get much simpler for you soon," he answered. "But thank you again!"

[cidery]

"Not a problem. You take care!" Exclaimed Apple.
