Newcomers and veterans alike, welcome to the world of ponies!

Who: YOU. And you. And you. And everyone!
What: What just happened!? You've been transported into the world of ponies, that's what.
When: November 10th
Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.
Rating: You know you.

(Pssst. Check out the story so far to get an idea for what's happened prior to this point!)

It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

Ho! This is such an interesting world! What a place my walk took me!

[There's a rather large, muscular stallion in underwear standing there, looking around from behind shades. His white hair denoted him as an older man, but he literally coiled with muscles.]

Hail! What land do I come to now? Godbert Manderville is my name! [He would call to the nearest person.]

He happened to address a large, white and red dragon, that was currently reading a book that was clearly sized more for the local pony inhabitants of the world... Which made it look almost comically small in comparison to him. Skyfire looked up from his reading curiously.

"As I understand it, this place is called Equestria. I'm afraid I can't tell you much more than that at the moment as I've only recently arrived myself. My name is Skyfire."

"Ah, I see. Well met, Skyfire. Well met!"

The Manderville man seemed to be right at home on four legs as he pulled out his hammer, and checked it over. "Perhaps I can ply my trade here. I am a goldsmith and this land seems rich in minerals. I feel inspiration coming on!"

Skyfire tilted his head in consideration, then looked thoughtful. "Do you perhaps know how to refine metals other than gold?" He pauses and flips carefully through the book with his claw tips.

"According to this I can eat metals, minerals and gems... which at my size means I'll be doing a fair bit of digging somewhere. Would you be willing to perhaps consider a trade of services in future?" Trading the raw metals for some of the refined product later could be good for the both of them.

"Of course I do, the Manderville fortune was built on crafting the most exquisite gems, pottery, gold and silver baubles and trinkets. I would be more than happy to learn about the gems of this world, and how plentiful they might be." said Godbert.

In a new world, establishing a beachhead for a workplace would be a good idea. And it would provide income for his travels as well.

He nods. "I meant no offense. Some specialize and I find it better to ask." Thinking about it, Skyfire considers things.

"Would you like me to contact you when I've found out where I have permission to dig and set up my home?" The Princess had been nice enough to offer help, the least he could do was ask permission when it came to where to dig.

"It would be appreciated. Finding the lay of the land first would be a surest method to finding something new to be appreciated." Said Godbert with a nod.

"I shall do so then. We may not even be here that long, but it's likely to take me a few weeks to get things sorted out." He glances around the area. "I'm not exactly of a size to fit in the local housing, so I have to sort out the basics first."

"Any chance is good for profit," said Godbert sagely. "I'm sure with the right construction, a house would be as grand to fit you."

"That being said, perhaps I could take a look around."

Skyfire nods at the sentiment, of the first then chuckles softly at the second. "Oh, I'm sure it would, but I'm not so selfish as to take away the resources that could be better spent elsewhere. Better for me to build with stone outside of the town as it will be a byproduct of my digging anyways."

Nodding again, he believes that statement is a hint that the Godbert is looking to leave without being rude about it. "In that case, I wish you well in your exploration. I'll be staying here for a while until I'm sure I won't damage things by walking around." Skyfire gives his tail a bit of a glance as he says that, perhaps a touch annoyed as he thinks it seems to have a mind of it's own at times.
