Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.

It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

Looking around for the source of the voice, Skyfire can't help but blink a little as he realizes that there is a horse talking to him... Or perhaps a unicorn? It did have a horn.

"Figure out how to walk without tripping over, or stepping on, my wings or tail, and then figure out where I am... Though if you know the answer to the latter, I would be grateful if you would enlighten me." It's fairly clear that Skyfire isn't used to having a unicorn speak to him, but he's doing his best to take the unusual situation in stride.

"Well, I've only just arrived - Ser Dragon - but I think this is a land of horses," Haurchefant says, trying to keep composed, himself. "Which has shifted at least I into a body of one of them, unable to leave it."

...ssh he doesn't expect this dragon to get the implications.

"I see that we're in the same situation then... Though I'm certainly not a horse." Skyfire sighs a little as he shifts his wings unconsciously. "I don't suppose that you have seen a library in the area? I find that I'm going to need to know a lot more about dragons soon... and this world."

...A library, hm. Haurchefant hadn't looked - he didn't have the focus to sit down and read. "...You'd not try and strike it, if you found it - would you?"

[caelum_ignis_draconigena]

"Stri... No!" He looks horrified by the mere thought. "Not at all. I just need some information and what better place?" Skyfire loves reading, even if it was difficult to get things such as books and scrolls at home.

"...The dragons I'm familiar with, sad to say, are quite the violent bunch," Haurchefant said, trying to smile. "I'd not imagine any of them reading!"

Skyfire just has to shrug a little, trying not to unbalance himself in the process. "I can't say I've ever met a dragon, so I wouldn't know." He can't help but chuckle a little. "I can only be responsible for my actions... and I do very much enjoy reading. When I can find someone willing to either trade for books or scrolls, or allow me to read and transcribe theirs at least."

He frowns a little and sighs. "I think I'm really going to miss not having my library while I'm here..." Not that the information he needs at the moment would be in it, but it would be nice to have all the same.

Huh. This was actually quite nice. Perhaps, if he could befriend them... "I wonder if we can find a new library for you to hoard? I'd not want you left without a hobby."

Skyfire is always happy to make a new friend, and his comment gets a good natured laugh. "First I need to find a place to stay and sort out other things first. I'll settle for borrowing a book or two to find the information I need, and returning it when I'm done."

Shaking his head a little he adds "Besides, I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of their library. I'll earn the funds and put it together myself, it's more rewarding that way."
