Where: Smack dab in the middle of Ponyville. And around Ponyville. And maybe a little outside Ponyville too.

It all happened in a flash. Short earthquakes and aftershocks rocked some of the buildings in Ponyville as a magical explosion wreaked its own brand of havoc across Equestria. Once the dust settled, however, the Ponyville ponies realized that there were some newcomers in their midst. Ones that were definitely not there before the explosion. So where did they come from, and how did they get here? Did the explosion bring them here?

Luckily, the actual damage from the earthquakes was minor, and there were no actual downed buildings, just some that were now slightly cracked and in need of repairs.

The natives slowly closed in on the newcomers, warily eyeing them and wondering what their intentions were. But rather than looking angry or upset, they just looked confused and curious. Why not introduce yourselves to them, and to each other?

The official royal welcome wagon might even show up soon!

The explosion must have really hit this pony hard, because he was unconcious, lying sprawled out on his side when he arrived.

Thankfully, he was still breathing, and the sound of confused voices all around him woke him up.

"H-huh?" He slowly lifted his head, his eyes trying to adjust to the light... And there are talking horses everywhere. Also, this doesn't look like the library at the Ultimate Academy at all.

"... This has gotta be a dream..."

"It's another world," replied Apple, having a chance to look around after her girlfriend time with Amelie.

"Welcome to Ponyville, or so I've gathered."

[whatsmytalentagain]

"Another world...?"

Hello random talking horse. Rantaro is horribly confused.

"Ponyville? Wha- What's going on?"

[cidery]

"Like I said, it seems to be another world. I'm fairly used to that concept but this is the first time I've gotten stuck in a shapeshift." Replied Apple.

"As for what's going on, as far as I gather there was an explosion."

[whatsmytalentagain]

"Shapeshift? What do you mean a-"

He reaches out his hand to point but... It's not a hand.

It's a hoof.

"GAH!" He tries to stumble to his feet, but he now realizes he now has four feet, two appendages on his back, and no hands. The best he can do is sit up like a dog and look himself over in shock.

"What is this?!"

[cidery]

"It's a shapeshift," replied Apple evenly, moving over to help him cope.

"Don't worry too much about it. It happens."

[whatsmytalentagain]

"Uh... Okay?"

He blinks, leaning back a tiny bit. "S-Sorry, I'm not really sure what a shapeshift is..."

But this girl seems to be helpful enough... "Do you live here?"

[cidery]

"A shapeshift is a shapeshift. You know, changing form." Explained Apple patiently.

"And no, I don't. Sorry." said Apple.

[whatsmytalentagain]

"It's fine," He smiled. "I thought, since you seem to be more used to this than I am..."

He shakes his head. An ear flicks reflexively.

[cidery]

"I'm just used to being in another world, as well as shapeshifting," said Apple with a little pony shrug.

"It's not my native world at all."

[whatsmytalentagain]

"Huh... Same here. I haven't really been in another world before..."

How did he get here...?

[cidery]

"I'm used to having holes in the shape of myself to be honest," said Apple. "There's a lot I haven't decided on if this is normal or not."

[whatsmytalentagain]

"Huh..."

Holes in the shape of herself... He's not sure he knows the saying. But hey, she seems cool.

"Maybe we should try asking the locals?"

[cidery]

"Probably a good idea. I've asked around but I haven't checked so far." remarked Apple.
